The Vedic perspective
Astrology is a divine science which connects astronomical movements of planets with the responses of the physical body, psyche and the soul.  The science is based on the belief that planets do influence us, that the law of karma and theory of cause and effect are genuine and there is a continuity of life after death. 
In the past days in India, this science was handed down through the generations orally from teacher to disciple. Later astrology or Jyotisha was spread over in a very large number of classical works and became a part of the Vedas. 
During our trip in India there is a possibility for consultation with a local vedic astrologer. 


Mesoamerican time philosophy
Over 2000 years ago the early Maya formulated a profound galactic cosmology. 
They were an extremely advanced civilization who created an incredibly accurate calendar which charts the evolution of consciousness from the very day that the universe was born. The calendars are based on cycles very similar to the Vedic concept of time. Some even find parallels between the Vedic cycles of time - the yugas, and the mayan great cycles. 
During the journey in Mexico we will have discussion on mayan cosmology and also visit many important places where the Mayas made their observations in the past.
